Every contribution helps, no matter the amount. The 50% rebate applies to eligible Oakville residents giving $100 or more. Contributions from elsewhere in Ontario are also appreciated — they're just not rebate-eligible.
There are thousands of households in Ward 7. One person, walking one street at a time, cannot reach all of them before October 26 — no matter how many evenings and weekends go into it.
But a door hanger reaches a home whether anyone is in or not. A lawn sign works every hour of every day for six weeks. A palm card puts the case for change directly into a neighbour's hands. These are the tools that close the gap between one candidate and an entire ward — and every one of them costs money.
If the case for change is real — and this campaign is built on the belief that it is — then funding the tools that carry it to every household is simply how change happens.

After the election, the Town of Oakville issues you a rebate cheque equal to 50% of your contribution. Minimum donation to qualify is $100; maximum contribution is $1,200. Rebates are issued in September 2027, once the campaign financial filing period closes.
To qualify for the rebate you must be an eligible elector residing in Oakville. Corporations and trade unions are not eligible to contribute at all. Contributions from elsewhere in Ontario are welcome and just as valuable — they simply aren't rebate-eligible.
